Thermo Scientific iCAP 6500 RAD

Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) is a rugged and flexible technique: 66 elements including sulfur can be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Concentrations ranging from µg/l to g/l are accessible.

Due to the simultaneous acquisition of the entire emission spectrum (166nm to 847nm, Echelle optics with CCD detector), it is also possible to record time-variable signals; thus, a combination with ETV or Laser Ablation sample introduction is possible which allows for direct analysis of solid samples. The analysis of liquid samples (aqueous, containing hydrofluoric acid, organic solvents or even small particulates of < 1 µm) is feasible using appropriate nebulizer systems.
