Nano spotter

Separation of very low peptide concentrations (below 100 fmol) often requires separation techniques working with nano fluids. HPLC fractions are spotted on a sample carrier (MALDI target) and mixed with MALDI matrix. This approach enables automatic fractioning supporting reproducible results in MALDI mass spectrometry.

Gold sputter

Mass spectrometry imaging of tissues and biomedical surfaces often suffers from drawbacks due to non-conducting surfaces. Those artifacts can be compensated by generating thin layers using conductive materials, e.g. gold. Using the gold-sputter such thin layers can be applied to any surface within a defined process, enhancing analyte desorption.
